hi! I was recently accepted to Barnard college and it was my first choice but I want to major in engineering and have learned the only way to do so is through a 3/2 plan… I have read that in addition to this being a five year commitment vs a four year one it also only really teaches you engineering your junior year which is too little of a time to truly learn engineering… My question is should I change my major to math or should I attend another four year school for engineering??
Generally, the best path for someone who wants to major in engineering is to attend an engineering school. From the start. IMO.
Thank you! @monydad I was thinking of changing my major to math and was wondering which school (barnard , tufts, or brown) was best for that
All I know about that is Brown has a highly-regarded applied math major.
