No, they would’ve put left a voicemail and emailed you
Okay, thank you. I’ll be on the lookout on my email!
Barnard only accepted 1022 students this year which is very aggressive. It will be difficult to have a 60%+ admissions yield. Please wait to commit other schools if you are on the waitlist and truly love Barnard. Good luck.
Yay!! So happy to hear that others were already accepted off the waitlist!
Of those admitted, what were your SAT/GPAs like? And did all of you submit LOCI/additional recommendations?
Thanks in advance and congrats!!!
I was admitted a few days ago.
SAT: 1430
GPA: 3.9/4.3
I only submitted one LOCI.
Hope this helps!
I was admitted on Wednesday.
SAT: 1530
GPA: 3.9/4.4
I submitted one LOCI but no extra recommendations
Good luck!
did you guys send your LOCI to your regional rep too?
Waitlisted:
31 ACT
GPA: 97/100
I really hope I get off this waitlist, and meet some of you guys! Good luck to you all!
To those that were admitted already off the waitlist- CONGRATS! One question- did you get a response to your LOCI after you sent it in?
Thanks:)
My daughter sent in her LOCI and received a response letting her know it would be added to her file. I think she received the email 3 days after submitting her LOCI.
Does anyone have any advice to get off the waitlist?
@sakik I would just recommend to reiterate your interest in Barnard and add any new information on your LOCI on how you have grown as an individual since you submitted your original application. Doing this will probably give you the best shot at getting off the waitlist! Good luck!
Do you think they are still accepting people off the waitlist? Even if you just submitted your LOCI?
Is it too late to submit a loci?
My daughter got accepted off the waitlist! An admissions officer called her this afternoon to convey the good news. We are so elated! Good luck to all on the waitlist.
Congrats!!! Did they explain why they are already admitting people off the waitlist?
What do you mean by “aggressive”? Does this mean the waitlist will move a lot?
Colleges should have accepted more students for class 2024 because of the disruption and uncertainty of the COVID-19 outbreak. Some international students won’t be able to travel to US. More students may choose to take a gap year to avoid potential “online” freshman experience. Some parents might have lost their jobs so they cannot afford the tuition any more even with the generous financial aid. I personally think that Barnard should have accepted 1200 students instead of 1022 this year. Barnard had a lower their admissions rate but they had to pull lots of students from the waitlist. It’s my opinion that Barnard is “aggressive” for this admissions cycle. You will have a good chance to get in if you are on the waitlist and you are a full-pay student. Good luck!
@green2024 Congrats!!! When did your daughter submit a LOCI?
archimedes17 Thanks. Yes, she did submit her LOCI early last week.
