I just got off the waitlist! 
I submitted a LOCI only five days prior, and they called me today to tell me the good news. Mine felt a little long (700ish words), and I talked mostly about my accomplishments since December.
SAT: 1560
GPA: 3.96 unweighted, 4.46 weighted

@EnderFlash what did they say in the call? did they call you to gauge your interest or did they call just to say you got off the waitlist? how many days did they give you to commit (is it also by may 1st?) and did they mention when they will update the portal? sorry for all the questions!
@838388383 They called and said that I was off the waitlist and that my official acceptance letter would come after the weekend. They mentioned my LOCI, so they must’ve read it asap! I didn’t get how long they’d give me to commit or any portal details. A couple minutes later I received an email congratulating me on my admission and inviting me to some informational Zoom panels.
@EnderFlash that’s so awesome! congrats! They left me a voicemail and I didn’t see it until much later and I’m afraid it’s too late to call back now so I’ll probably call them tomorrow. I’m worried they’ll rethink taking me off the waitlist since it took me so long to call them back. Now I’m wondering if they’re calling to see if I’m still interested or if they already decided to take me off.
should i be worried if i sent my LOCI to the waitlist email on Wednesday and still didn’t get an update email that it was added into my portal? my guidance counselor sent them something the same day and he got an email that what he wrote was added into my portal…
would it be too much if I sent the regional office the same LOCI just in case?
@roadtoneverland It can’t hurt. Maybe tack a personalized introduction onto the email to the regional officer? I didn’t email my LOCI to my local officer, but I did send a short thank-you letter reiterating my interest in the school.

guys should i be worried? i sent my LOCI two days after i received my decision (on march 22) and they said they received my letter and i contacted my rep about it as well. was the waitlist just a soft rejection for me? rip 
@Sarah0328 I sent it to the waitlist email that Barnard’s FAQ tells us to send it to.
Barnard can respond very late sometimes, you never know. Don’t give up hope!

My daughter got call Sat. off WL. Did not apply for financial aid.
Does Barnard rank its waitlist students?
I don’t think they rank, but they are need-aware for the waitlist.
So I submitted my letter of continued interest about 3 weeks ago and only received an autoreply but nothing about putting it in my file. And then I started to worry and everything so I sent a follow-up email to both the reg ao and the waitlist email and they said they’ve gotten it. It was such an amazing letter so I feel very confident if they actually read it lol
