Barron's 3500 Worth the time?

I scored a 700 on the may test and I’m looking to score in the high 700s or an 800. I’ve been doing the Barrons 3500 list and I’m in list 11/50 and I’m seriously starting to question its value. But I usually get about 1-3 wrong on sentence completion so I can improve in that aspect. Should I keep doing this list? What’s the best way to score in the high 700s in CR?

I would say no. It’s better to focus on a smaller group of difficult words than honking big lists like Barron’s. Read Xiggi’s SAT advice for more on vocab lists.

As far as I am concerned, knowing more words certainly won’t hurt you. Sentence completion is one of the few sections where you can actually control your score. But I generally agree with cheerios, focus on the more complicated words.
