Barrons 7th edition TEST2 #35

Which of the following could be a term in the expansion of (p-q)^18?

A. 816p^15q^3
B. -816p^15q^3
C. 816p^16q^4
D. -816p^16q^3
E. -816p^14q^4

The answer explanation says that if the term is even it must be negative and if the term is odd it must be positive and stated the answer is B or C, then it says the answer is B without much more explanation.

Why is the answer B? Is it a typo?

ANYBODY??? I know there are math people out there.

It is either b or c as you stated, but the actual answer is B because in p^15 and q^3, 15+3=18 which is the original power (p-q)^18

This is a binomial theorem problem, but I would discourage the use of Barrons because it focuses in on obscure topics and problems that are almost never going to show up.
