Barrons for Micro/Macro

On page 95…

is it just me or are some of the answers for the practice questions on page 95 wrong?

if not can you explain why

2 is A and not C
3 is C and not D
4 is D
5 is B and not C

I agree with your answer for 2 and 5, but i need to get back to you on the other questions!

I am scared to use their book, they have so many mistakes in there. They say one thing in the section, give an answer of what it should be, and then give faulty reasons saying it should be another answer. There are also a lot of typos, more than I have seen in any other book.

You’ve gotten me worried man.

Are you saying it isn’t a wise choice to use Barron’s? I mean aside from the few typo’s and whatnot…it’s still a good book right?

same q here…i mean I’ve used barron’s as my life-line…basically my text book in conjunction with the new kaplan book. just hope its a good choice…

P 204 of Barrons says that real incomes will fall is not a major cost of inflation. I think, it is in the short term because when people ask for more money, their real wage drops down to 1 / (1 + markup). So their will be a larger markup with inflation, which leads to a higher nominal wage, but lower real wage. In the medium run, a few years, every thing levels out. What are your views on this?
