I tried a Barron’s test and got 720 on it. And I guess it’s a pretty good score for Barron’s from what I’ve read on CC… But I’m just wondering, so is it even necessary to study Barron’s? Is there anyone out there who got 800 without even flipping a page of Barron’s? I have ACT, and SAT USH coming up next months, so I don’t wanna waste time on something I don’t need to do. I mean, if I had more time, I’d study Barron’s (because it’s better to be safe than sorry), but CC posts make it seem really useless. Any idea?</p>
<p>Study in whatever way works for you. I got an 800 on the math 2 test, and I didn’t use barron’s (that was a while ago though haha). There’s no reason you have to use barron’s if it doesn’t work for your situation.</p>
<p>I got 800 on Math II without any SAT preparation…however I did a lot of AMC/AIME/USAMO competitions in HS, which basically prepared me (although the main purpose of math competitions isn’t to prepare for the SAT!). However you could try some easy-mid AMC12 problems in preparation for Math II…</p>
