Based on my sat scores...

I originally got a 2010 in January - 610-M 690-W 710-CR. I took it again in June an got 760-CR 620-M 700-W. I really don’t want to take it again, especially since I studied a lot for the math and only went up 10 points. I was originally going to go into engineering, but based on these scores and other events, I feel more inclined to do something like a lawyer that requires reading and writing, since that’s obviously what I am better at. Is a 620 really bad for decent (ranked 40 - 70) schools? I feel like it’s awful, but maybe that’s only because it’s so much lower than my other scores.

There is a study that suggests SAT Math above 570 is okay for engineering. If I were you I would also look at it in conjunction with performance on AP Calc and the SAT II Math II Test scores. I think if you score above 3 on the AP Calc or above 650 on SAT Math II, you will be fine.
