Basic Questions

I’ve never really read much into the SAT II’s, but I’ve decided to take them in October along with the SAT and ACT.

Is there a specific amount I should take? (I was thinking 2-3)
How different is the math SAT II compared to the math sections in the SAT? And if math and science are my weakest subjects, should I just stay away from those tests altogether? (Or with book specific studying will I be fine? haha)

Is a book mandatory in order to do well? I have the most recent edition of The Blue Book, but that’s for the SAT.

Two is a good number, three if you are thinking of top schools
If math and science are your weakest, think of the humanities. With the SATIIs you want to “showcase your achievement in specialized areas.”
You definitely need a review book. http://talk.collegeconfidential.com/sat-subject-tests-preparation/1168167-consolidated-book-suggestions-sat-ii-please-sticky.html</a> check this thread for suggestions/testimonials.
you can borrow the special SATII CB book from your library. It has one test per subject.

I say 3. one math, one science, and one other

^That’s good advice if you are good in all three…Otherwise i don’t think it matters
