Is anyone from DFW still waiting to hear from admissions? We applied EA and have not heard anything yet, and I know office is now closed until the new year.
Not in Dallas area (we are in SoCal), but we also have heard nothing. DD is #1 in her class, rigor, high GPA, excellent recommendations, 600+ hours of community service, etc… and…nothing. It is VERY discouraging when others at her school have already been accepted.
DD applied EA on 10/29 and is a History major.
I agree, it is discouraging. When I called they just said we’ll hear by January 15th. My DD listed her major as undecided at the time she applied, not sure if that hurt her chances. I just wish they would’ve let us know before the holiday break, either way.
My daughter did. She has been accepted, but has yet to commit. Very sweet!
Does anybody know what to expect for the Baylor 2 program online session? I know in the past, there were 2 in person events, but I can’t seem to find much on how the online session will be structured.
Out of curiosity, has anyone who applied to Baylor without writing the optional essay been accepted?
I’m having issues with seeing my EA application in my goBAYLOR account. I was previously able to see everything when decisions first came out. Is anyone else experiencing the same thing?
No not for us
Ok thank you. I’m not sure what’s going on. I will contact admissions.
Yes @annahebert , my son was accepted without writing the optional essay.
Called admissions today and they said a decision has been made, we should hear by the 15th. Safe to assume that’s when they send out rejections? I don’t know any other reason they would wait until then.
I applied on 11/1, and received admission notification today 1/6.

I really don’t understand what Baylor is doing. I understand rolling admissions but don’t understand the long delays and definitely don’t understand why they would delay sending out decisions unless you are correct about them being rejections. My daughter applied LONG AGO and still hasn’t heard. She is extremely qualified (in fact someone on this thread suggested she might be overqualified). But if you are going to reject a kid, just rip the band-aid already…
Those are my thoughts exactly. Other than applying undecided major, my kid is as qualified as a lot of friends that have already been accepted. It’s already ruined Christmas break from anticipation, just send out the rejection already so these kids can just move on.

side note: I applied to case western reserve ED 2 after being deferred so if I get in I’ll have to turn down this amazing opportunity at Baylor
Was anyone else’s I2E faculty session webinar rescheduled to an earlier time? It also changed from a 2 hour event to 2.5 hours. Wow !!
