DD didn’t get the I2E scholarship but it stated she received an Achievement Gold Scholarship. We tried to look at Baylor’s website but it made no mention of this type of scholarship. Does anyone have any insight to how much the scholarship is worth? Hoping to make Baylor a bit more affordable

You could try to look in Bearweb rather than goBaylor.

We did. Nothing but her original President’s Scholarship and a loan is in there at this time. Guess we’ll have to wait for it to update. Grateful to have been offered this extra scholarship

yes, Congrats! would love to have that offer.

  1. For honor students, do I have any specific dorms?
  2. Where can I buy some stuffs for move-in days? Where is the nearest Target or grocery stoer?
  3. Are there any international religious groups?

Does anyone know how the ALEKS testing works?

Who received an email from Baylor Admissions yesterday = April 22nd @ 5 PM PST announcing they are suddenly moving up Baylor enrollment decision deadline from June 1st to May 3rd? DD received admission some four months ago in December 2020 under EA. Baylor is now only allowing DD one week to decide. Quite odd. Wonder why they are doing this now?

My understanding was that last year everyone moved decision day to June 1st due to covid. Baylor’s original date was May 1st, or so I thought. All colleges have May 1st as decision day. So really it isn’t an extension when everyone else is May 1st.

Believe that Baylor had posted on Admissions Website (in writing) that June 1st was their 2021 decision date for incoming Freshman Class of 2021. That is what the “Important” subject line email described our DD received last night. Curious why Baylor Admissions would suddenly move it up by 1 month with just now a week to go? Any one have solid connections in Baylor Admissions to find out?

My guess is that they already have a good-sized freshman class. Because of Covid, a lot of schools don’t want forced triples, and I’m sure Baylor is no exception. So I’m guessing it means they’ve achieved, or are close to achieving, the class size they want.

I too, know that I saw June 1 as their decision date for a long time, but now can not find it. My daughter has already committed to Baylor so the change in date does not apply to us, but I have to believe Baylor re-evaluated what other colleges were doing, and course corrected to secure their class and waitlist a month earlier. It keeps them aligned with what other schools are doing, which is having a May 1 deposit deadline.

Hi! I have a similar situation here. Where did she go!?
Best of luck for her

DD has not deposit anywhere yet. Reason need to speak directly with Baylor Admissions Decision Maker in Waco. Anyone have a name and phone number for Department Head?

She’s heading to Ole Miss. Full tuition scholarship for four years (based on GPA and test scores). We can get her out of college debt free! Since she’s considering law or graduate school, that was important. I’ve had some of those moments of thinking, “I wish we could have made Baylor work.” But, she’s already moved on and excited for OM. Best of luck to you!

She’ll have her admissions counselor’s info on her goBaylor portal if you want to speak to someone from admissions

Today is when we are supposed to find out our housing assignments. Has anyone heard yet? I am guessing they are going to wait until the evening so their phones don’t ring off the hook.

My daughter has not heard anything yet either about her housing assignment and it’s 9:30 p.m. where we live. Is it not coming out tonight? Has anyone heard?
