BBA in Human Resources Management with no Management experience

I have 13 classes left in a BBA degree and only 1 in a specific major area and that is Intermediate Accounting 1 when I was thinking of becoming an Accountant. I did not like Intermediate Accounting 2 and accounting in general really but I chose it because the job security is supposedly good according to college confidential and networking. I dislike the career path and it isn’t for me.

Unfortanatley none of the other major in BBA is something I like but I most of my degree is in BBA already. I impusively decided to do a mechanical engineering major in August as engineering was my original major out of high school in 2010 before I switched to business after 1 semester since I find it difficult and tedious. Well at the age of 23 engineering pre-reqs haven’t got easier and now I’m switching back to my BBA which is the realistic thing to do since I need to earn a living.

I was reading through each major at University of Houston-Victoria(the school I am transferring to for the summer 2017 semester from houston community college) and human resources seems to be the closest major that I have an interest of a career path in.

What are the job prospects of someone with a BBA in Human resources management? Is there anyone you know that has a degree in this and how are they doing? What type of jobs should I look for right now as internships to connect me with a proper job after I graduate?

Do you like working with people? Because that’s what you do in HR. The Bureau of Labor Services has a good outlook for HR managers:

Try to talk to someone in the HR department or the career placement office at the college you will be transferring to and get a sense of where the graduates end up. I know people who have gone into HR with liberal arts degrees.

You might also ask the campus career counseling department to give you a career assessment test. HR and Engineering are very different and assessment to provide you with more direction and additional career options, such as risk, insurance, finance, etc.
