Which one is more renowned internationally (I know UVa is a better choice in the United States). Would Europeans value a degree from BC or UVa more?

UVA is more prestigious, and will give you better career opportunities, than BC. However, regarding international prestige, I dunno if either school is that well known outside the states. Although I have no experience w/Europe, in Japan the only schools that ppl generally know about are the top Ivy’s (HYP), MIT, Stanford, Berkeley, and UCLA.

I guess the only way to tell is to see how many students are European or how many applicants are European, if such information exists. If Uva or BC has a relatively high concentration of international students from Europe, that could be a sign that Europeans recognize the school.

Even if you had such information, it might still be skewed because of self-selection.

This is just my personal experience, I had heard of UVA before coming to the US, but I had never heard of BC.
