BC Fall 2020 Transfer Thread

Also CSOM. Let’s hope for the best.

Do you think the Covid-19 situation made a lot of students reject their offer of admission?

I think Covid will definitely play a huge role in students decisions. Students might opt to stay closer to home. What college are you attending now? Best of luck.

@EconAlex I am attending Arizona State University.

So we should hear something on Thursday right?

I hope so. Thursday or Friday. What major did you apply to at CSOM? I applied as an Economics major.

@EconAlex I applied as a Finance major.

My son has applied to CSOM as a transfer from Bowdoin. Last year, he was waitlisted at Carroll and didn’t want to go to Morrissey when offered to him. So he gave it another shot and same outcome. But, he was accepted at Stearn and Mendoza this time around. Good luck.

Does anyone know how many students on average get off the transfer waitlist? I feel like they gave out more spots than usual this year.

I got off the waitlist at CSOM at 10am.

How long did it take for those admitted to see their financial aid awards?

Has anyone else received a decision?

no still waiting. @transfer33552 did you submit the letter of interest?

yes i submitted one about two weeks ago

Taken off waitlist at CSOM at 10am today. I will be attending. Eagle bound

So if I didn’t receive anything today that means I am rejected?

Congrtas to all who got into BC as a transfer. Special shout out to those who got into CSOM as a transfer- you hit the jackpot. Almost impossible to get into CSOM as a inter or intra transfer student. No reflection on anyone’s stats- but simply because historically, no students drop out of CSOM- This year, COVID was a tailwind and created slots…good luck to all.

My son is still waiting to hear, but congrats to everyone who got off the waitlist! I’m sure it is MORE than well deserved!

Still waiting for CSOM.

Daughter was accepted off of wait list to MCAS. Waiting to see financial package after submitting a few more documents.

We live in MA and daughter was a freshman in Chicago (Loyola) and we would be very happy to have her a bit closer to home with all the uncertainty of these times. (In deference to Loyola, D really has enjoyed her Chicago experience and Loyola is a solid school and a bargain).

Was also accepted to BU but BC the clear choice for her.

Note of interest for some…we have 4 children…this is D3…and all have transferred - each for different reasons but we are proud of them for owning their educational choices. Fourth is our son, still in HS - so we will see.

any updates?

The person I talked to at admissions today said she didn’t know dates it would come out but it was still active and there would be movement
