Here’s an interesting article on BC’s admission process:

[Mahoney discusses admissions with students - News](http://media.www.bcheights.com/media/storage/paper144/news/2009/02/05/News/Mahoney.Discusses.Admissions.With.Students-3614594.shtml)

In it, the Director of Undergraduate Admissions confirms that (1) BC’s admissions are truly need-blind, (2) BC is more selective in the EA round, and (3) BC does not care at all about the applicant’s “expressed interest.” I’ve seen these issues come up many times on this board.
