I was just wondering how difficult the courseload is for a BE/BME freshman? The reason I ask is because I applied to the SEAS but I am not sure (if I were to be accepted…) that I would want to study engineerig all 4 years and there is a high chance I would try to transfer (to the CAS) after freshman year. Would freshman year be awful for me? Is the coursework freshman year in this discipline comparable to the work freshman year of someone in the CAS? I know sophomore year and beyond the BE and other engineering courses become more specified and exponentially more difficult, but would I get by freshman year (and still enjoy myself socially etc…) or will I be library-bound all day?
