As for colleges…point me please.

errr what do you want to do?

Oops, its late. Thanks for pointing that out. I am thinking either double majoring in Accounting and Finance or becoming a history teacher (so probably History and Secondary Education).

any college preferences? its hard to say chances when u dont know where youre applying

Quick list of ideas;
UChicago
Northwestern
Dartmouth
U of Penn
Brown
Tufts
Reed
William and Mary
Boston U
Urbana Campaign
U of W-M
U of MN
Macalester
UConn

well the first 5 -6 are reaches but the rest look like matches, but then again you never know. im a high school junior too so i guess i shouldnt be the one deciding where you wud or wud not go.

Too soon to say, but your rank is low for the Ivies. Kind of depends on how you do on your IB and AP tests, and in future competitions.

Right now:
UChicago–Slight Reach
Northwestern–Reach
Dartmouth–Reach
U of Penn–Slight Reach
Brown–Slight Reach
Tufts–Match to Slight Reach
Reed–Match
William and Mary–Match
Boston U–Safe Match
Urbana Campaign–Match
U of W-M–Safe Match
U of MN–Safe Match
Macalester–Match
UConn–Safety

a suggestion i might get in trouble for:

 1. calm down and take an entire day off (lord!)
 2. try a depressant drug
 3. reflect.

IMO:

UChicago-- Reach
Northwestern–Reach
Dartmouth–Reach
U of Penn-- Reach
Brown-- Reach
Tufts-- Reach
Reed–Match
William and Mary–High Match
Boston U-- Match
Urbana Campaign–Match
U of W-M–Safe Match
U of MN–Safe Match
Macalester–Match
UConn–Safety

do you have preferences for size of school? location?

it’s hard to tell without any test scores

Under top 5%, no SATs and people are suggesting ivies??? Get a grip!!

Are you from california?

“Under top 5%, no SATs and people are suggesting ivies??? Get a grip!!”

They’re assuming that she will do well.

She’s a junior. All schools are not looked at equally, it’s not like you can go to a new school, be in the top 5% and erase the past!

PSAT scores would help.

“it’s not like you can go to a new school, be in the top 5% and erase the past!”

Then how does it work?

They will look at you in the context of each school. Clearly, the new school grades differently.

You see, my parents are moving back to this same town. In the 9th grade (when I attended that school) I was ranked 7th and I’m pretty sure things don’t change in this small town. Trust me when I know I will be ranked that high. I took the PLAN test (yes, a joke but still) and was projected to get a 30. Thanks for the input everyone! Some antidepressants? Yes, but I’ll survive.
