First of all this story was really awfully worded, or maybe I’m just tired and confused. Was he by himself, or not? Kind of important detail.

Secondly, most “incidents” happen when the student is coming home alone at night. Gotta say, I am an idiot as far as safety is concerned–I’m a girl and walk home by myself when it’s dark–but I’ve been fine. The one stupid thing I would NEVER do is go home alone while drunk. Not saying that’s what this kid did, but in general, if you use common sense, you should be fine.

No campus is immune from crime or “incidents” such as this; so be careful wherever you live or attend college. Some interesting links from that article about how Case is at the forefront of some important advances:

“While Northeast Ohio may not be a Boston, San Francisco or San Diego the cities’ larger sizes are a consideration the region has the potential to be on par with these areas, which are known for their progressive biomedical and biotechnology efforts…”

I only include these links to show that Case offers opportunities in areas that are becoming increasingly important in the future. There are opportunities there that are not available just anywhere.
