Beating the 70 Barrier on the PSAT

I just can’t seem to go beyond 60s in all 3 sections. I make a few mistakes and occasionally leave a question.

CR is my worst followed by math and then writing. I get most of the questions right in writing but around 3-4 questions wrong which keep me away from the 70 barrier what am I to do?

Well, the PSAT’s in two days, so studying won’t make much of a difference now. Just do your best and you’ll do fine. If you’re a sophomore, you still have a chance next year.

um i was stuck in the 60s barrier for writing. i was at a 66… then i tried to do the hard sections (rephrasing a sentence nd the paragraph at the end) in Writing first and the easy ones at the end (identifying error). This boosted my score to a even 70. So you can try little sneaky tricks like that to slip into the 70s.

^ Wouldn’t you want to do it the other way around because of time? Just saying.

The PSAT is on Saturday so I still have some time. I’m not looking for super tricks I just want to move up to 70s from the later 60s. I’m a junior.

Ahh, lucky you tristam. I have PSATs tomorrow D: Darn my school for forcing Sophs & Juniors to take PSATs on Wednesdays!!

yup same here…sophs and juniors in my school are taking it tom…can’t study now…though…well for juniors its too late…sophs have time

I’m the same dilemma, except for CR. I’m stuck in the 63-68 range; sometimes I even get flat 60s.

Well, good luck!

ahh im memorizing words right now! this is my last chance :[

It doesn’t matter, so don’t stress.

Get a good night’s sleep and have a good breakfast. There’s no magical key that’ll help you do better on a test. I’m a Semifinalist and my plan of attack was just “Chill out and take it easy.”

Take advantage of the bathroom break. Something I wish I’d done that. >.<

Well, there is nothing much to do so I guess I should just relax.
