Which do students typically like more?

I don’t have personal experience with this but from what I understand they’re pretty different so I’d think it would depend on what you’re going for. Bed risers will give you a little more space under your bed but it won’t be lofted, whereas if you choose lofting you can fit actual furniture under it. I’m choosing to loft my bed this coming year because I think it’ll give me the most space, but if you’re not super into the idea of lofting but still want a bit more space, bed risers would probably be a good middle ground.

Yeah lofting opens up much more space. Especially if you put your roommates bed underneath. You can also put your roommates bed in an L shape with yours and put one of your dressers or desk under plus half the bed.
