<p>I was wondering how big the bed in the dorms are at stanford because my cousin said her college’s bed size is not the conventional twin/full bed… cuz its actually longer? sorry if it makes no sense…i have no idea wut shes talking about. i need to go buy bedding stuff so will just any twin/full bedding fit?</p>
<p>also are you guys planning to read the 3 books they sent us (that we’re gonna “discuss” during orientation)?</p>

<p>well, if you had read the approaching stanford catalog you would know that the beds are twin but they are extra long. so buy the extra long twin sheets.</p>
<p>and umm … since you proved clueless by not reading the catalog maybe it would be in your best interest to read the books.</p>
<p>I’m gonna read the books. The seem intresting and they’re all very well known and famous books. Of course that’s just me; I love reading books…</p>
<p>You need to buy bedding thats labeled twin extra long or twin xl. I thought I would have trouble finding xl bedding, but lots of places have it. I am going to read the books because they seem interesting</p>
<p>I’ve started reading all of them and they are all very good. They aren’t very hardcore, dry and academic - they are all books that I would read for pleasure if I found them myself, and so I’m reading them as such…</p>
<p>Yeah I got my books 2day and I just finished the kite runner. It really is an amazing book and I’d strongly advise you to read it.</p>
<p>The books are pretty good and I’ve been able to finish one already on a plane flight, but according to a few current students I’ve asked you really don’t need to read more than one to participate and get along fine in the discussions.</p>
<p>as far as the books go, i’m a little ****ed you guys got all three mailed to you FREE. we had to buy ours. i didn’t actually buy mine, but i read it…but still…</p>
<p>ok rant over. honestly, there is no point to reading them except pleasure. the whole “discussion” thing is absolutely useless and you won’t miss anything if you don’t read them. if the authors come during freshman orientation like they did last year…again…you won’t be missing out on anything special. </p>
<p>seriously…you guys are going to laugh your asses off after autumn quarter that you even cared about reading them.</p>
<p>that said, read them if you want, from what i hear they are good and interesting. but don’t kill yourself over it. have fun with friends and family first.</p>
