Before a Blind Interview, what info is given to the Interviewer?

We’ve often mentioned that during the commonly-held Blind Interviews, the Interviewer is not given grades or MCAT score of the Interviewee.

What is given to them, besides the applicant’s name?

It depends on the particular school. Some have everything except GPA/MCAT. (So LORs, list of ECs, PS, secondaries, etc.) Some have nothing besides the candidate’s name.

The one blind one D had didn’t have any information except her name. She was prepared by having the 2-3 minute “tell me about yourself” thing down in this case. You can go on SDN interview review threads and find information on the specific school and what the interviewers know.

Thanks…The above answers are what I was thinking. I imagine that they may not even have school name because of the possibility of bias…maybe?

My son’s were all Blind, but he couldn’t remember if they knew his school’s name and his major, or if he offered that?

I know that some here have mentioned that their child and interviewer discusses an unusual major or minor, but who knows if the student provided that info or the Interviewer already knew and asked.

D’s only had her name- not school or major or IS/OOS even.
