@kjake2000 I can’t speak on Computational Biology but I know that the Computational Finance program is very competitive. It is a very good program and they only accept ~10 people at a time.
How does CMU view having more than 1 teacher recommendation and/or an extra letter of recommendation from a non-teacher?
@Zion101 Maybe this is late, but CMU offers a non-teacher rec letter spot, so send that in.
When I emailed about additional teacher recs, I was told only submit more than one if they show very different parts of you, and even then you don’t need to. As the dude said, it only complicates the process for you and the admissions office.
