So ive heard that being an indian male puts you at a real disadvantage at the programs so i was wondering if your a pakistani male does that mean the same thing, does that make your chances just as tough or a little easier.

well ur still considered asian and im atually like from the brother courty bangladesh XD and i dont think it makes a difference… i dont really know how a colege transcript lokks but i think u have 2 put asian or indian subcontinent

thing is that this section of the forums is dying… most posts are at college search and others

dude us paks get screwed cuz we’re “rounded” as “indians”

lol well you used to be.

ya thatz a problem… i think they consider every1 in those countries as indians… o0o well :=(

You guys were originally Indians (before the partition…). But, I think south asians are treated the same.

All I can say is if you’re from Pakistan or wherever, don’t come near New York, or the U.S. for that matter…it’s not a smart time to. Not being racist or stereotypical, just being honest.

umm i think he’s referring to ppl that live here…

and you are right…but it’s just random

do’nt be ashamed of putting yoruself down as Indian. India zindabaad! haha before you flame me, im part paki so :P

That’s right brother!!!

so bascially we are still ****ed,

yupp… im actually bengali… tat sux… hm wut if i put north american on the transcript heheh

Guys/Gals believe me, being an Indian is an asset and not a liability. More than 30 percent of the kids in the combined program are South Asians. That is a good representation based on the percent of the general population.

yo i think its more than 30 percent lol…I dunno the real numbers but every interview i went to 90 percent of the people were indian…
