<p>I flew with my 2 d’s recently and then #1 D flew quite a bit this fall…everything was inspected, weighed, and counted. We were on several different airlines and in different airports. The 3 oz. limit was strictly enforced including a bottle of Lemon Curd ( 4 oz) in London which my thrifty d and her friend promptly ate at the security stop in order to not have to turn over the whole, unopened bottle. 
Be on the safe side and play by the rules. You don’t want them confiscating your good stuff because its a 4 oz. bottle…which is too big even if 1-2 oz. are already used up.</p>
