Being too technical on the intellectual supplement

Right now I’m working on my intellectual vitality supplement. The prompt asked for a bright idea, so I focused my draft on the idea and did not bother with the writing’s creativity. Whereas in the common app, I tried my best to have good flow, diction, structure, etc, I could not afford the characters in my supplement. Is it expected that the supplements are less of a creative writing?

Also, my topic is somewhat technical and requires me to go into detail. I find my idea to be interesting, but I find it impossible to write it creatively without sacrificing content.

What should I do?

Thanks

Let a couple of adults that you trust read it, and see what they think. A smart person who is not familiar with your topic should be able to understand what you are talking about.

make sure that both essays “sound” like they are written by you. If the intellectual supplement sounds too different, it could give the impression that you had “help” writing it.
