Benedictine University vs SIUE?

I am trying to decide between Benedictine University at Lisle, IL and Southern Illinois University Edwardsville. Any opinions? I want to major in Chemistry, and be a pharmaceutical researcher someday.

Thank you.

Awesome. That is so funny because my husband attended SIUE, and I am finishing my degree at Benedictine University in Lisle. The major difference between them is that Benedicine University is so much higher in cost because it is a private university, even with a scholarship. Add that on with books. Also, at SIUE, your tuition is nearly half that of benedictine, the cost of living in the area (St. Louis Metro) is cheaper than Chicago Metro area. Another factor with SIUE is that your BOOKS ARE INCLUDED IN YOUR TUITION. I thought I would put that in all caps. This was five years ago, it doesn’t hurt to ask. I am pretty sure that is the same. Best of luck to your future!
