well im into honors b-school at neu and really considering it even tho it was a safety bc of a decent scholorship.

so whats so great about honors anyway? do they get better co-op placement? better housing? any added benefits?

should there be any great things im missing that can put me over the edge for this school please let me know. i visited last spring and loved it, but to be honest it is on the low end ranking compared to other schools im considering as well as a muchhh larger student population than i originally wanted. i really liked it tho which is why i am investigating. so… any input is appreciated

so any honors ppl out there why did u chose neu or why will you?

The fact that you can live in the nicest dorms on campus when you’re a freshman in the honors program is a big selling point to me. I think is NEU’s goal is probably getting the higher end of their applicants, who might have been using them as a safety, to attend.

I’m still looking into it myself, so I second the poster’s questions about benefits, other than the nice dorms.

please search the threads on this forum, lots of students and parents of current students have posted information about all this.
Benefits: better housing, special programs, smaller class sizes, honors academic advisors easily accessible-particularly to honors freshmen, honors helps on resume to get a shot at better coops, etc.

Definitely the biggest advantage has to be WV-F housing. While it’s more expensive, it’s suite style dorms that have 3 double rooms with a full kitchen, and living area. Overall, that should be a big reason to do honors, West Village is incredible and honors academic advising is on the ground floor of WV-F, another huge advantage.
