Benefits of Sending PSAT/NMSQT Score?

I scored in the top 50,000 of PSAT test takers, which allowed me to send my score to two schools. I allocated one of these slots to U Mich. My score is low, it will only receive a commendation. Has anyone who has done this in the past received contact from the school or special treatment of any kind? Does this count as demonstrated interest?

I was in the same situation as you last year. Didn’t get anything back from Michigan but I applied/got in EA this year.

I did it in the past to two private schools, and afterwards got letters back from both acknowledging that they’ve received my score. I think it is a form of demonstrating interest.

I don’t think Michigan cares. I think Michigan & Berkeley are 2 of the only schools in America that openly say that “PSAT does not matter.”
I thought your score/standing was only sent if you became a finalist? I think notification of finalist standing happens to all colleges who request it, national merit college partners in other words.
I was a finalist and sent my score to Michigan & 1 elite private (not an ivy).
Both never responded back, and I don’t think my sending of the score mattered.
