I feel like a class wouldn’t teach me anything I can’t do on my own. Am I wrong?

You’re completely right there. :)

The only thing that a class will do (and only a good class, mind) is outline your study plan and make you stick to it. The latter one is the most important, and only the top-notch classes will help you with that. Still, it’s 98% your own determination and 2% classwork.

I’m one of the only ones of my friends who isn’t taking classes, and I’m doing fine. CR from 750 to 790 and Writing from 720 to 780. Everything you learn in a class can be replicated AT YOUR OWN PACE by reading xiggi’s & silverturtle’s guides as well as practicing out of the blue book.

What about essay grading, you say? Sadly, many class instructors are terrible at grading essays. You might as well get someone here on CC to grade it.
