Bentley University or Babson College?

I know there is a thread about this. But in this one, I’m going to be pretty specific about it.

I want to go to a business school because I want to start a hotel or even a hotel chain of some sort.
Lol. I know it sounds very difficult to do and might look stupid, but I want to go to the right school to learn.
I want to go to Babson or Bentley for undergrad and later go to a different, or same, school for grad to get the MBA.

Which school is better? Feel free to give me some school recommendations.

Well, what are our stats - GPA, test scores, any ap class taken?
What state do you live in?
What’s your parents’budget?
Have you run the NPC on both?
Indeed, the best school is the most appropriate academically that is also the best value.

Bentley and Babson are both good schools. Perhaps Cornell’s School of Hotel Administration?

If you want to be in hotels, Cornell is easily your best bet. UNLV has a good hotel management school as well. Between Bentley and Babson, I would choose Babson.

have you considered Boston University’s school of hospitality administration? they specialize in that kind of stuff and its in the same area! I know a couple of kids in that school and they love it

Hi Chi Hyun

Cornell is way too out of my league :frowning:

Wow, that is cool. Thanks for letting me know! I am actually considering to go there now.

Schools other than Cornell also have hotel management programs. Here is one list of schools, if you do your research I’m sure you can find more options.

I’d go with Babson. Bentley is a decent school but not particularly well known outside of MA.

Contrary to what you might think, Cornell’s School of Hotel Management is not out of your league at all. It is significantly, significantly easier to get their hotel school than their school of engineering and school of arts and sciences.

Cornell’s Hotel School 25th-75th percentile SAT score is 1310-1470 for the class of 2020 (old SAT). Bentley’s and Babson’s are lower, but an ED application to Cornell could help. Additionally, although Cornell’s overall acceptance rate is 13.9%, that of the hotel school is about 30%.

There is also a Hospitality and Tourism Management major within the Isenberg School of Management at UMass Amherst.

Cal Poly Pomona has a great hotel program, too.
