Berkeley Admissions Released Early?

^ To UC123cali: Wong tong tong post #157 sort of confirms it.

Violator - I agree with you, but as I search for more and more kids from our high school who applied the right ones are on this list and the ones with lesser stats are not. Although there are a couple (truly 2) who don’t have the SAT score to support the GPA so I’m not sure why they are on here. But both have decent ECs, played a high school sport, probably had a good essay and did not apply for financial aid. In fact the kids I’m finding here did not apply for financial aid…

even though my name is on the list fir college of L&S, i still am not convinced…especailly with my low stats…

and has anyone figure why some names are all capitalized? my name was like that…idk why

somebody call admissions lol.

the only thing that makes me think is the search for some numbers that arent filled in but it says it exists?

i searched some valedictorians at my school and some arent on their…with good test schools and ecs idk tho

I’m sure admissions will get wind of this very quickly. The question is whether they shut down the directory or not. That could be a telltale sign.

i just hope there are more entries in CAPS( both last and first name). The people who find their name are In for sure. Congrats!!

Evidence, tracksoccer?

Someone should call the admissions office and ask them, flat out. I’m sure that this close to the deadline, they wouldn’t mind letting some of us know. :P

Also, has anyone who applied to L&S not found their name on the directory?

^^kingcyn ~ yes, several of us fr our school who applied to engg (couple even eecs) are on this directory.

all 11 of us (again fr our school) that were accepted in ucla are on this list, plus 4 more. 3 of those 4 were rejected by ucla, 1 was even rejected by ucsd. the rest of those rejected by ucla were rejected here too. 1 who got accepted here had supplemental.

i believe this list is legit. #157’s post is very logical.

@mickjagger, yeah, I applied L&S and didn’t find my name. Not too surprised. I found two classmates who were accepted to UCLA on there though. Both had amazing GPAs but rather poor test scores and NO ecs. Oh well

There are assertions made about there being too many people on the directory. But my focus is on the people who are “not” on the list. Surely there should be a reason why such a significant number of students cannot find their names on the list?

I mean for me this is very logical, and I believe that those on the list will PROBABLY be accepted on Thursday.

HOLY GUACAMOLE! MY NAME IS ON THIS (although i already knew i was accepted thanks to regents)!

I guess I’ll wait for the official notice, but hopefully this means I’m in. From all the top people at my school that I suspected to apply, only two (myself included) were found on the list.

Name not on the list. Applied to L&S, OOS, 32 ACT, accepted to UCLA

ahhh…this site is crazy! good luck to everyone!

wait, so what does it mean when ur name is in all cap locks?

For my school, I checked a bunch of top people, and only two who I thought would get in aren’t listed on here. One was a chemical engineering major, so that could be it. The other one was accepted to MIT for bioengineering I think, but we all think he was one of those anomalies (a four-year varsity swimmer jock type person who happens to be fairly smart but doesn’t seem like he would be MIT material).

I was on there for materials science and engineering! One of my friends who applied EECS is on there though, and we are all in-state. I guess the bottom line is that we won’t know for sure until thursday…but I think this is a very strong indicator.

That a poor data entry worker left caps lock turned on…

^Haha, probably. I really doubt it means anything though.
