<p>So I got a C in Pre-Calculus first semester and a D second semester. However I retook both semesters and got A’s both times. Will UC Berkeley look at this as a good thing, or will they look at it negatively?</p>
<p>In which grade did you take the original and repeat courses in? That can matter for the purpose of GPA calculation.</p>
<p>However, holistic admissions readers will see all grades, so it will be worse to have repeated a course where you got poor grades than to have gotten A grades the first time.</p>
