<p>I have already submitted my SIR to UCLA. However, Berkeley just sent me an email saying I’m a finalist for the Alumni Scholarship. If I get this scholarship, would I be able to get out of my UCLA SIR or is it not possible?</p>
<p>yes, you’d be able to get out of it, you just lose your SIR deposit fee. it’d also take some phone calls / hassling, but it’s definitely possible if the alumni scholarship is enough to sway your decision.</p>
