I really need help here. Which one is better? Any advice? Was waitlisted by Cornell but got in Cal. Don’t know if it is worth the wait at all…

Are you trying to decide if you should take your spot on the wait list at Cornell?
Even if you do, you will need to deposit where you have been admitted because you likely wont hear about waitlist movement until after the deadline.
Yeah… I’m probably going to pay my deposit to Cal, but I’m just curious how these two compare in terms of the DS major… If Cal is better, I won’t bother to wait for Cornell haha
You got into Cal.
Cornell said no, we cannot accept you at this time. You are simply an insurance policy for us in case they fall short of admission yield. Your WL is for their benefit, not yours.
Your choice is amongst Cal and anywhere else that has accepted you.
Cornell is not a choice - other than to stay or not stay on the WL. They have declined you for admission.
Last year they offered WL to 8103 kids (more than they accepted). 6190 got on - also more than they accepted. And yes, 388 did get invites - but you have to go with the one that wants you today. Fall in love with it…so if they do come back to you in a few months, you’re playing from a position of strength. You’ll have fallen in love with UCB and may tell them to go away!!

Accept the WL offer at Cornell and deposit at UCB. If you get off the wait-list, revisit
