Berkeley chances?

I don’t know how I’d be able to go, but Berkeley would be spectacular. I’m still vacillating between becoming a college Literature professor and a software engineer, and it seems like Berkeley’s one of the few colleges that have a good program in both. Thank you for any help!

Wow, you have really impressive extracurriculars that show a real dedication towards the theater. And you also have a really strong ACT score.

I’ve heard that coming from out-of-state is much more competitive for Berkeley, but you have great grades and have taken a lot of hard courses. I think you have a good shot.

Thanks for the response.

I’m actually considering leaving Yearbook, Interact, and maybe even Debate Team off my extracurricular list, but I’m not sure.

Berkeley would be one of your reaches (since you’re OOS), but you do have a good shot. I don’t see much point in retaking the ACT several times… if you get to a 34, then you know you can definitely stop, but a 33 is excellent too.
