I would say your chances are really good given your extracurriculars and grades. Make sure your personal statements are decent.

I was wondering what my personal statement should focus on too, now that you’ve reminded me. I had a medical condition in highschool and i graduated with a 1.9 GPA. I was wondering how much of the personal statement should focus on hardships.

I’m not sure if you should focus on your medical condition. You can briefly mention it in your essay (“I was diagnosed with ____ my ___ year of high school, but that did not stop me from pursuing ___”). Concentrate on your ambitions/goals instead. You want to avoid the pity factor.

If you feel the need to justify your GPA with your condition, you might want to write it in the ‘Additional Comments’ section at the end of the application, after your personal statements.
