Berkeley dining

We will be in Berkeley soon for a wedding. Suggestions for a late night dinner the first night and breakfast and lunch spots would be appreciated. No sushi as several in our group don’t eat it.
Thanks

Chez Panisse is a classic destination (see for example Lessons from Berkeley's Historic Chez Panisse | Bon Appétit) It’s easier to make reservations for lunch than dinner, and easier at the cafe than the restaurant. We always enjoy lunch at the cafe.

Goodness, so many options. Just depends what you like. Near campus, my personal favorite is probably Angeline’s - Louisiana cajun food. La Note is very nice. Both of those are on Shattuck. Want great views and like (non-sushi) seafood? Skates on the Bay at Berkeley Marina. You could also head over to Solano Avenue which has many, many options. I like Sweet Basil, a Thai place, for a great lunch special or Bua Luang, also Thai, for their pumpkin curry. Korean Superette on Solano is also great. Everest Kitchen, which is Indian and Nepalese, is very good. I went to Kim’s Cafe and Sandwiches for the first time recently - also on Solano - and enjoyed it. It’s Vietnamese-ish. Pretty much everything on Solano is great - so that might be a good place to scout out options.

Rick and Ann’s for breakfast

Saul’s Deli for breakfast, lunch or dinner (not sure how late you need for dinner). Cheeseboard pizza for dinner and classic Berkeley experience. Both are on Shattuck. Rick and Ann’s is great for breakfast, be prepared for a line.

We had a great breakfast at Rick and Ann’s this morning. Last night we ended up at Donato, which was close to the hotel.
