Berkeley dropout - when do my credits/units expire?

Dropped out in 2012. Have one year left. Is there a time frame in which i need to return to school?

Earned units/credits won’t expire. They’ll be on your transcript when you’re ready to return and finish your degree, whether in a year or 20 years from now.

Depending on the reason for dropping out, e.g. academic dismissal, you may have to attend a different institution for the completion of your degree.

I withdrew for personal reasons - nothing to do with academic probation or anything of that sort. I guess I’m totally fine. Thank you!

Here’s the email I just received from one of the ug advisors if anyone else was wondering:

<<<Let me answer your question this way: We have a student returning in the fall who called us last week. She was last here in 1994 - and we still have her file !

Glad to hear that you are starting to plan for your return! The only potential issue with very long absences (e.g. 1994) is if certain college requirements change, students have to satisfy the new requirements even if they were not requirements at the time the students were here.

It will be important to submit your application for readmission WAY before the June 1st the deadline. Telebears for Fall 2016 will start in April 2016, and it would be best if you received a good Telebears appointment time, which means your application should be submitted in late January or early February if possible.>>>
