Anyone in the Bay area (esp east bay) feel the earthquake this morning?
Yep, woke us up (we are east bay, just through the tunnel).
As I noted elsewhere, i had to laugh at all the people who felt the need to preface their 3am Facebook posts with “it woke me up”!
Through the tunnel towards Oakland/Walnut Creek or towards Berkeley ?
East towards Walnut Creek - I always think of “through the tunnel” as coming from the city though of course it means the opposite from home, haha
Clarification that I mean Caldecott in case there is another tunnel (Oakland is the other side of it from here too)
Wow, I used to live at College & Dwight. Hope everyone is okay.
OK, you know what’s weird and almost unbelievable. I told my daughter yesterday morning while we were walking the dog that there was going to be an earthquake. All the animals in the neighborhood were acting weird - there was someone’s escaped chicken flying about, a normally friendly cat was acting skittish, the squirrels were especially squirrelly…My daughter said it was just a myth, and I said, you just wait and see….
We definitely felt it and my poor dog jumped up and starting barking to make it go away which must have worked because it stopped. Thanks, buddy!
The animals are always right!!! Are they still acting wonky? Aftershocks??
Apparently there was a 2.6 this morning but I didn’t feel that one.
My daughter is in Palo Alto and it woke her up! Said it seemed to last about 5 seconds.
They seem much calmer today, so hopefully we’re past the worst of it.
I haven’t heard from my South Bay kids, but the East bay ones felt it
3.0 aftershock at 6.20pm today. Kid felt it but I didn’t
I got a notification through MyShake, but didn’t feel a thing.
