I’m a transfer student in Pennsylvania who got accepted to UC Berkeley in economics major and Penn State University in accounting major.

My future career goal is going to one of the big four accounting companies. This really gives me a headache about which school I should go. Needless to say, Berkeley has greater prestige and it offers me 20 grants scholarship in addition to financial aid, but I’m not sure whether it’s easy for me to find a job in big 4 accounting companies as a economics major (Berkeley has Hass Business School which is different from econ department). On the other hand, penn state’s Smeal College of Business seems more practical but I’m not sure the job placement either.

I’m in dilemma now. Could anyone please help me!!! Thank you so much !!!

Pretty unsurprising answer. There should not be much of a “delemma” (sp) and the “its (sp) better overall” has little relevance to the precise question of the OP about … accounting programs and future employment in the sector.

When it comes to accounting, there is one source that is both relevant and accurate. Professionals who recruit and employ accountants do not seem to follow the usual uneducated answer from fanboys.
