Berkeley from the east coast/other school suggestions?

GPA: 3.9 uw
SAT: 730 M / 790 CRW
IB program, some APs, pretty generic ECs (orch/marching band/president of a club)

I’m from MD and I want to go to Berkeley, but I’ve heard various things about Berkeley not wanting east coast students, etc. I probably wouldn’t qualify for financial aid if that helps?

Or alternately, any college suggestions for me? I’m looking for mid-sized/big west coast schools near cities anywhere where there isn’t really a winter (and not the deep south).

As an OOS applicant there will be no financial aid at all. Can your family pay $60,000/year for 4 years.
