Berkeley, J-School

So, I’m only a junior in high school, but I was wondering about UC Berkeley’s Graduates School of Journalism. I would like to become a journalist someday, hoping to specialize and cover in Asia with a MJ in Journalism & Asian Studies.

I hopefully will be going to Wesleyan University, and I’ll be majoring in East Asian Studies. Since I want to specialize in Asian (the Japan, China & Korea area) and I’ll probably be learning those languages (I’m in Japanese at the moment and am learning Chinese; I’m asian myself), I was wondering if that would apply. For example, I’ll completely all my required courses for East Asian Studies and will probably fullfill courses for a writing minor of some sort with journalism courses on the side.

Would I have to transfer to Berkeley after I graduate with the degree at Wesleyan and apply to the J-School? How would the major help with this? What courses would I have to take to be able to qualify?

I hope that makes any sense at all. If need be, I can clarify myself (:
