<p>My daughter is trying to choose between Berkeley and UCLA. She’s interested in English, Spanish, History, Asian/Middle Eastern studies. Social life is also important. She worked very hard in high school and wants to be sure she goes to a school where she can have fun as well as a great education. What do you think?</p>
<p>has she visited either campus? I chose cal because it wasn’t as close to home as UCLA, and because i liked the campus better, and the vibe was different. but that’s just me. visit first.</p>
<p>I’m in the same situation. My major is bio and both schools are excellent in the subject. </p>
<p>I think I’m just going to visit both and decide which one I like better.</p>
<p>like post #2 says, she should visit then select the school she feels the best about. they are way different in a lot of things but both offer excellent opportunities. good luck to her!</p>
