Berkeley Regents Students Stats and ECs

I am a student who is interested in applying to UC Berkeley. I wanted to know the stats and ECs of students who have been accepted to Regents.

Hi, I’m a recent Recent admit. Some of my stats/ECs:

SAT: 1580
ACT: 35
SAT Math II: 800
SAT Literature: 700
SAT Physics: 800
GPA: 4.3

-I’ll have 34 units of college classes by the time I graduate which includes two semesters of Spanish, two semesters of Physics (up to E&M), and 4 semesters of Math (up to Differential Equations)

-3 internships in cybersecurity labs (SPAWAR and Circadence)
-Tutored math for 2 years
-Worship leader at my church
-Bass in Chamber Bravura (one of top ranked choirs in nation)
-Varsity Basketball and Volleyball
-Volunteer for a few local charities/ministries
-2 years of speech and debate

There’s some other stuff, but that’s all I can think of off the top of my head!

pm me if you want my stats!! I was accepted with regents in engineering. honestly, though, I wouldn’t depend on regents by any means, though–my friend was accepted to MIT and was waitlisted by Berkeley, while I was rejected and got regents (lmao), and a lot of people are candidates but don’t end up getting the scholarship.

Is Regents mostly based on standardised test scores and GPA

Your admissions application is read by two readers, each give it a score from 1-5 (1 being best). The score depends on a variety of factors, predominately academic, but readers also look at how difficult the courses were, how the applicant in the local context (how they did compared to other students from their school), activities, jobs, leaderships roles, obstacles, etc… From these read scores, the top applicants are invited to interview, and a portion of those interviewed receive the scholarship.

My son is graduating this year from Berkeley as a Regents Scholar. We are from Southern California. In high school he was at the top of his class, had a 4.0 UW GPA (10 APs), ACT=32, he played 3 varsity sports, was in ASB, drama, Youth and Government, and had a job as a sailing instructor.
