For those who want to see what a souped up triple in the Units looks like

[Berkeley Ridiculously Automated Dorm (BRAD) - YouTube](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6x1GkgbVP1I)

Oh my goodness he’s bloody brilliant
Lol no wonder he’s in berkley
Do want!!!

Know the guy. He put up the video at 10am. By 5pm, techcrunch, multiple offers, etc. To top it off, he’s actually pretty humble about it all!

meakame dish the dirt on the offers! :D

Haha just finished hanging out again, lol (@meakame)

He’s going to be on Good Morning America, LA Times, San Jose Mercury, and on the front pages of Singaporean newspapers… yeahh.

Keeping the offers private ;)

Santa Cruz Sentinel:

“Low, an electrical engineering and computer science major, said he’s received several offers from UC Berkeley and outside laboratories to research automation and related fields. Several last-minute internship offers have him considering staying in the United States during the summer rather than returning to Singapore.”

Yeah I posted his thing on my facebook page. He’s definitely super cool and makes me proud to be an EECS bear!

But it sorta seems similar to what these guys at MIT did a while back:
[MIDAS: Homemade Dorm Room Home Automation System](MIDAS MIT Dorm Room Automation System with Party Mode)

Except our Cal guy did it all by himself, making him the BOSS!

From the Daily Cal interview

“Low was first inspired to create the room by an MIT student, who released a similar video of an automated dorm room in 2006. Because it was released six years ago, Low said he hoped to take the same concept and upgrade it with today’s technology.”
