I already posted this on the “Ask a Cal Student Anything” thread but there were so many questions I figured the OP would be swarmed enough…I was just wondering, do Cal and Stanford/Caltech have any joint programs/exchanges on the undergraduate level? (i.e. cross-registration like Harvard and MIT do). It seems a bit odd that they are in such close proximity (an hour!) and there isn’t more collaboration between the two universities! And if so, how easy is it to take classes at one or the other? Thanks for your time!

I’m unaware of any. I think it would be a great opportunity if they did.

There are some undergrad internships available for premed students at UCSF only open to Berkeley undergrads.

There’s quite a bit of research collaboration… not aware of undergrad exchanges though.

Harvard and MIT are literally right next to each other, while Cal and Stanford are not…

I am fairly certain there are no joint programs for undergrads, but plenty at the graduate level.
