^^^ You are so funny! You’ve got chance threads everywhere… Don’t worry about what others have to say. Just apply and see what happens. Good luck!

bahhhh
i thought nobody would notice, but those arent my stats, they are a hopefull act and sat 2 math. so i am wondering how this changes things, if at all

Ahhh, I see. I didn’t look closely enough. These Cal students are a smart bunch. I’m sure they’ll notice. I will never comment on a chance thread again after the last time I commented. If you want my opinion, you will have to send me a private message! haha

hahahahha
touche
i just tend to obsess about colleges and all that stuff. Berkeley is just like a perfect fit for me. Its an hour from my house and tied for first in the major i want. i feel it was meant to be…

hahaha
sigh

Then apply and don’t rely on chance threads! It was my son’s first choice and he is so excited to be going there this fall. :-)

but maybe if a bunch of people on this site say i can, then i can make it into a petition and they will have to let me in…
hahahah

Hahahahaha… Wouldn’t that be nice?!

hahahahh
i cant wait for school because i am sure that basketball and 4 AP’s should take up most of my time, so i dont have time to obsess about college.

Oh yeah. My son was soooo busy with his sport and academics. It was flat out ridiculous. I don’t know how he did it. I think he spent most of high school half asleep. School will be here before you know it. Remember, it’s your senior year. It only happens once so enjoy every single minute of it! :-)

last year with APUSH, i spent every night up until 2 or 3

My son had 5 APs his junior and senior year. He would get up at 5:30 and not go to bed until 1:00, 2:00 every single night. It was just ridiculous…

but i cant really imagine spending time any other way. I dont know how some people dont do any sports or clubs or acedemics. but i dont know
haha

Yeah, it’s good for you. It keeps you out of trouble. I don’t know about you, but my son only took AP classes he was interested in so he didn’t mind the studying. Some were harder than others, but he enjoyed every class. As for his sport, he loved it so he didn’t mind the practice/competition. The five APs he had senior year were on the easy side for him so he actually had SOME time to socialize which he really enjoyed. I know he’s looking forward to being able to do lots of new things at Cal.

we only have 9 ap’s offered so i just took every ap i could handle. Like i dont like foreign language so i didnt do ap spanish.
I just toured at berkeley and it was pretty cool. Do they have a main food court?
I didnt see one but that could be because they had so much else to show…

I don’t know about a main food court. They have a lot of dining options though. Here’s the link to check it out… [Cal Dining - Residential Dining - Location](http://caldining.berkeley.edu/residence_dining.html)

I loved the campus. I didn’t want to love the campus. It’s 8 hours from where we live and I didn’t want my son to go so far away (I feel lucky it wasn’t back East though). When I walked on the campus, I totally loved it and could see my son being really happy there. When he asked for my opinion, I answered honestly and told him I thought it was perfect for him. It really is. I am so glad he got in.

You’ll get in to the perfect school for you. You’ll see. It always works out in the end.

thanks…

I think you have a great chance at UCSD, but the others will be a bit hard for you to get into. I can give you my stats & my friend’s stats for comparison about how you can’t really compare those who get rejected and accepted. Really though, just apply. You never know what will happen. And don’t just apply to Cal because of its rank. Go to a school you feel like you’ll fit in and enjoy! (:

OH, and a tip: don’t even stress about senior year. It doesn’t matter if you get straight A’s your senior year of high school. What’s done is basically done, it’s not like one semester will bring your chances from 30% acceptance to 80%. You may not want to do what I did (aka sleep in every class and do basically no homework x_x), but don’t stress out and feel like you need to work harder than ever to get good grades!
