Berkely students (and others) attack "the man"

Looks like UCB protestors still lack objectivity. They attack the chancellors house, including the use of incendiary devices. These people need a Christmas break.

These people need time in jail.

Those idiots deserve about 10 years in jail. They’re lucky that they’re still alive-had the chancellor been armed, he probably would have been legally justified in killing those yahoos. Perhaps they don’t understand the Castle Doctrine?

This is appalling. I know Bob and Mary Catherine Birgeneau very well. They are one of the loveliest couples one could imagine. Brilliant, kind, and amazingly interesting individuals who have been together since their first day of college orientation. Maybe it’s time for them to return to Toronto, where, I can say with certainty, that their home was never attacked by students.

Yes, lucky that this was not the University of Miami! :)

Wow. This is out of control. They need to be prosecuted to the fullest extent of the law.

Actually, on 2 of the 8 were actually students. The rest were either local yahoos or people from out of town if you can believe that.

Their families must be SO proud of them…They are more ignorant that I thought, if they believe violence will negate the tuition increase.

Most of the UCs have far more applicants than openings. It looks like this’d be an easy way to free up about 66 spots. Just think of the applicants who were rejected in favor of these students. Any student who vandalizes, disrupts the educational process, or makes threats should be immediately dismissed. If the students don’t like it there they can always leave.

“Eight people, including two identified as UC Berkeley students”

The other six? Eugene Anarchists, perhaps? They never miss a chance to participate in property-destroying activites.

One of the students was a tree-sitter. He should have been shown the academic door a long time ago.
