How hard is it to get into Berkeley under Applied Math? Im a freshman at another UC. I will have junior status and will have completed differential equation prior to transferring?

Will you have completed multivariable calculus, linear algebra, differential equations (and discrete math if offered) by the time you transfer?

Math (pure, applied, or teaching) does not appear to be an oversubscribed major at Berkeley, although Berkeley admissions is generally quite selective.

I will have completed multivariable calc, linear algebra, and D.E. by the end of my first year. @ucbalumnus

You may want to ask the department about which upper division courses at your current school will be accepted as substitutions for the courses at Berkeley, if you want to take them before transfer (of course, be aware of quarter versus semester system issues). You may also need to take preparatory courses in the subject of application.
